A collection of five assorted vintage wooden walking canes and sticks of varying designs and finishes. The group includes a dark-stained cane featuring a Fritz-style handle on a tapered shaft with a mottled grain; a light-coloured wood cane with a traditional crook handle and a segmented shaft featuring natural bamboo-style nodes; a light wood cane with a Derby-style handle and a shaft decorated with dark horizontal burnt rings in the faux-bamboo style; a plain light wood cane with a Derby-style handle and a simple tapered shaft; and a substantial cane with a large, naturally formed crook handle in a uniform reddish-brown finish. All items are constructed from wood without visible collars, ferrules, or precious metal mounts. There are no maker’s marks or internal system features evident.
Lengths: Approximately 90 cm each.
Condition report:
The items show signs of age-appropriate wear and previous usage throughout. This includes surface scuffing, scratches, and minor losses to the stained or varnished finishes, particularly on the handle grips and the lower sections of the shafts. No significant structural damage or modern repairs are visible.
