The lid is ornamented with a central round blue cabochon, appearing to be lapis lazuli, which is bezel-set and framed by a twisted rope-style wire border. The surrounding lid surface is embellished with scrolling wirework filigree and small applied silver spheres. The box features a hinged lid with a spherical thumbpiece and a plain, light-coloured interior. The overall construction and decorative elements are characteristic of Balinese silver handiwork.
Condition report:
