Also present is a 1969 National Union of General and Municipal Workers rule book and a 1993 Trainload Freight East Midlands booklet. The lot features two white enamelled metal signal box lever plates for the Thurcroft Branch: plate number 27 for the Down Single Line Starter and plate number 11 for the Branch Home to Single Line. Additional items include a blue British Railways binder for D.C. Electrified Lines, a red 1991 Safety Items folder, and a black and white photograph of a train crossing a viaduct.
Condition report:
Items show varying degrees of age-related wear. The 1972 signalling manual has bumped corners and surface scuffing to the cloth binding. The 1980 operating notice is in poor condition with significant tears, heavy creasing, and staining to the paper covers. Enamelled lever plates exhibit some chipping around the mounting holes and edges. Magazines and booklets show standard shelf wear, minor creasing, and typical toning to paper surfaces.
