The collection features a diverse range of graphic designs, including commercial advertising, travel souvenirs, and cultural icons. Notable advertising examples include a Romanoff Vodka box with a double-headed eagle crest, a Pickfords removals and storage box, and a Verdi ristorante di musica box featuring a portrait of Giuseppe Verdi. A matchbox for the Dominoe freehouse bar at 178 High Street is also present. Travel and geographical souvenirs include an Isle of Man box featuring the triskelion, a Lugano box with a lake view, and a box depicting the Giralda tower in Seville. A Greek matchbox features the text ΑΦΡΟΔΙΤΗ (Aphrodite) and ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑ ΠΥΡΕΙΩΝ ΚΥΠΡΟΥ (Cyprus Match Company). Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition overall. There is visible wear to the strike strips and edges of several boxes, consistent with age and handling. Some boxes appear to contain original matches, while others are empty. The plastic storage container shows light surface scuffing.
