Description
Two 20th-century landscape oil paintings executed on board. The first work depicts a rural scene featuring a winding dirt track through a meadow, with a large deciduous tree and birch trees in the foreground leading towards a distant village and church spire. The second work shows a rugged mountain landscape with a body of water in the foreground. In accordance with user-provided .The first frame is an ornate, wide gilt-finished frame with scrolling foliate and shell motifs. The second frame is a simple, dark-painted profile. No signatures or artist marks are visible on the front of either work.
Painting 1: 48 cm x 68 cm
Painting 2: 42 cm x 57 cm.
Condition report:
The first painting is in good overall condition with minor surface dust and light wear to the gilt finish of the frame. The second painting shows notable condition issues, including significant paint loss and flaking along the left-hand margin, general surface dirt, and scuffing to the frame.
