Description
A 925 silver foliate brooch by the Scottish firm Ward Brothers (WBS). The oval, openwork frame features a central raised flower head flanked by four textured leaves. The design is accented with four circular faceted stones, comprising two in blue and two in an amber hue. The central setting for the flower head is currently vacant, indicating a missing stone. The reverse of the brooch is fitted with a pin and a roll-over safety clasp and bears an applied oval plaque stamped STERLING WBS SILVER.
Condition report:
The brooch is in fair condition with visible surface tarnish and wear consistent with age. One central stone is missing from the flower head. The pin mechanism is functional.
