A Bermuda 1996 silver proof one dollar commemorative coin struck to mark the 1937 coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The obverse features the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions BERMUDA and ELIZABETH II and the date 1996. The reverse depicts the dual coronation portrait of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (the Queen Mother) in ceremonial robes and crowns. It bears the circular inscriptions QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER and THE CORONATION OF GEORGE VI, with the date 1937 and denomination ONE DOLLAR at the base. The coin is struck in 925 silver with a proof finish, displaying frosted devices against mirrored fields, and has a reeded edge.
