Description
A 925 silver brooch designed in the stylised Rennie Mackintosh floral manner. The design depicts a bouquet comprising three tulip flower heads on slender stems, gathered and bound by a wide, scrolling ribbon band. The reverse of one flower head is stamped with the fineness mark 925. A secondary mark is present on the reverse of the uppermost flower head but is not clearly legible. The brooch is fitted with a hinged pin mechanism and a rollover safety clasp.
Condition report:
The brooch is in good overall condition. The 925 silver displays a natural patina with some tarnishing, particularly within the recessed areas on the reverse. The pin mechanism and rollover safety clasp are functional.
