Description
This assortment of British earthenware is manufactured by Biltons, a pottery based in Staffordshire, England. The pieces feature a transfer-printed country-style decoration consisting of small, stylized maroon floral sprigs scattered across a cream ground. Each item is finished with a single thin, blue-grey band near the rim. The collection includes dinner plates, side or dessert plates, bowls, and mugs. The underside of the pieces bears an embossed mark reading BILTONS MADE IN ENGLAND.
Condition report:
The set is in fair to good vintage condition with signs of age-appropriate use. There is light shelf wear and some discoloration to the unglazed foot rings. Faint staining is visible to the interior of at least one mug. A small mark or minor chip is noted on the rim of one large plate. No significant cracks or professional repairs are evident.
