Description
A five-stone carved half-hoop ring crafted in 9 carat yellow gold. The design features three graduated round-cut rubies alternating with two old-cut diamonds. The gemstones are claw-set into a decorative mount with a pierced and scrolled gallery, which tapers to a plain polished band. The central ruby is the largest, flanked by diamonds, with two smaller rubies at the outer terminals. Indistinct hallmarks are present on the interior of the band.
Ring size: UK N (US 6.75 approx.).
Condition report:
The ring shows wear commensurate with age. There are minor surface abrasions and small nicks to the facets of the gemstones, notably on the central ruby. The gold mounting displays light surface scratching and softening of the scrolled details consistent with regular use. The claws appear intact and the stones are secure in their settings.
