Description
A UK 50 pence coin, dated 2023, struck in cupro-nickel. The coin features the characteristic equilateral curved heptagonal shape. The obverse bears the King Charles III definitive portrait with the Latin legend CHARLES III DEI GRA REX FID DEF 2023. The reverse features the Atlantic Salmon design with a background pattern of repeating interlocking C symbols and the denomination 50 PENCE. The coin is housed in a clear plastic protective capsule. This design was introduced as part of the new definitive coinage for the reign of King Charles III.
Condition report:
The coin is in uncirculated condition, retaining significant original mint lustre. Minor surface abrasions and light contact marks are visible in the fields, consistent with handling and the minting process. No significant edge damage or deep scratches are present.
