Description
A pair of United Kingdom cupro-nickel 50 pence coins issued by the Royal Mint, dated 2019 and 2020. These commemorative issues form part of the series celebrating the works of Beatrix Potter. The 2019 reverse features a portrait of Peter Rabbit’s head and shoulders, while the 2020 reverse depicts Peter Rabbit in a garden setting. Both coins feature the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark on the obverse, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 50 PENCE and the respective year. The coins are seven-sided equilateral curve heptagons with plain edges. Each coin is presented in a Change Checker blue protective collector card featuring a holographic security strip and is identified as United Kingdom Certified Brilliant Uncirculated.
