Description

A set of four Wedgwood fine bone china collector plates from the Country Days series, featuring artwork by Chris Howells. Each plate is transfer-printed with a polychrome scene depicting traditional British rural life in a bygone era. The collection includes The Apple Pickers (second issue, 1991), Making the Hayrick (third issue, 1992), Lunch Break (fourth issue, 1992), and Mending the Thatch (fifth issue, 1992). The reverse of each plate bears a comprehensive printed backstamp including the series title, individual plate title, artist name, issue number, and a unique plate number. The marks also include the Bradex number (ranging from 26-W90-43.2 to 26-W90-43.5), the Wedgwood Portland Vase logo, and the text Crafted in Wedgwood Fine Bone China by Josiah Wedgwood and Sons Limited, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent, England.
