Description
A collection of commemorative Two Pound coins issued by the Bailiwick of Jersey and Alderney, presented in a blue velvet-lined Westminster brand case. The coins are struck in white metal with a proof finish. The collection includes issues dated 1994 and 1995 commemorating the 50th anniversaries of D-Day and the Liberation. Each coin is housed in an individual clear plastic protective capsule. Inscriptions include Bernard Montgomery D-Day 50th Anniversary, Alderney D-Day Anniversary, Bailiwick of Jersey Liberation 1945-1995, and 50th Anniversary Liberation 1945-1995. The obverses traditionally feature the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
Condition report:
The coins are in uncirculated condition, showing no visible signs of wear, handling, or toning. The proof finish retains frosted devices and mirrored fields. The presentation case is in good condition with minor signs of shelf wear to the exterior.
