Description

A Royal Mint philatelic and numismatic commemorative set issued to mark the centenary of HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. The set consists of a Bank of England five-pound banknote, Series E, bearing serial number QM10 007203 and the signature of Chief Cashier Merlyn Lowther. Also included is a five-pound commemorative crown coin featuring the Queen Mother obverse with the dates 1900-2000 and a facsimile signature. The set is completed by a five-pound Windsor Castle postage stamp, cancelled with a Clarence House postmark dated 4 August 2000. The items are housed within the original Royal Mint presentation folder, which bears a matching serial number label QM10 007203 and the manufacturer mark for Royal Mint Llantrisant.
