Description
A collection of UK bronze halfpennies housed in a blue textured Sandhill Coin Folder. The collection contains issues spanning from 1927 to 1967. The coins feature the Britannia reverse design for the years 1927 to 1936 and the Golden Hind reverse design for the years 1937 to 1967. The folder is a spiral-bound album with internal pages printed with the header Great Britain Halfpennies and includes a side-margin note regarding British and Foreign patents.
Condition report:
The condition of the coins is varied. Earlier George V and George VI pieces show significant circulation wear with flattened high points and a dull brown patina. Later Elizabeth II issues, notably the 1957 and 1967 examples, retain sharp details and some original mint lustre. Several coins exhibit signs of uneven toning, surface spotting, or light verdigris. The folder shows minor shelf wear and has a small paper label with the handwritten number 715 on the front cover.
