Description
A mixed dining suite in the contemporary farmhouse style. The table features a rectangular top with rounded corners, finished with a wood-grain effect laminate over a composite board. It is supported by a light-coloured wood base, likely pine or beech, with four turned legs featuring simple collar details. The suite includes a pair of spindle-back kitchen chairs in the Windsor style. Each chair is constructed with a shaped top rail over six spindles, a contoured solid wood seat, and turned legs joined by an H-stretcher. Completing the set is a rustic-style bench featuring a solid wood slab top, supported by two solid slab ends and a central longitudinal stretcher. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on any of the items.
Condition report:
The set is in used, fair condition. The table top exhibits wear to the edges and various surface scratches. The table legs show significant wear to the finish, particularly towards the feet, with staining and loss of varnish. The chairs show general surface wear and light scuffing to the legs and stretchers. The bench top has several visible scratches and marks consistent with regular use.
