Description
A pair of philatelic numismatic covers (PNCs) issued by the Royal Mail and the Royal Mint. The first cover, titled National Portrait Gallery Celebrates 150 Years, features a set of multicoloured perforated stamps with 1st class denominations. These are cancelled with a circular date stamp from London WC dated 18.07.2006. The cover includes an inset bronze-toned commemorative medal and is numbered 02703. The second cover, titled Fire and Rescue Service, features a set of multicoloured perforated stamps with denominations of 1st, 54, 56, 81, and 90. These are cancelled with a pictorial circular date stamp from Moreton-in-Marsh dated 01.09.2009. This cover includes an inset silver-toned commemorative medal and is numbered 02891. Both items are housed in their original illustrated card folders as issued.
Condition report:
Both covers are in excellent, well-preserved condition. The stamps are securely affixed with clear, legible cancellations. The inset medals are bright and free from visible toning or oxidation. The card covers show no evidence of creasing, foxing, or edge wear, appearing as originally issued.
