Lot 161:
Description
A percussion instrument constructed from a substantial piece of natural bamboo. The body is characterized by three prominent nodes and a distinctive, wavy flamed or scorched-effect grain pattern running the entire length. The surface has a high-sheen polished finish. Both ends are sealed with rounded, slightly bulbous terminals to contain the internal material. No visible hallmarks, maker’s marks, or inscriptions are present on the body or the ends.
Length: 92 cm.
Condition report:
The item is in good condition. The polished surface is well-preserved with a deep patina. There are no obvious splits or structural cracks visible. Minor surface abrasions and wear to the terminals are consistent with age and regular use.
