Description
A 2006 United Kingdom silver proof one pound coin issued by the Royal Mint. The coin is struck in 925 silver and features a proof finish with mirrored fields and frosted relief. The reverse depicts the Egyptian Arch railway bridge design by Edwina Ellis with the inscription ONE POUND. The obverse features the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. The specimen is housed in a clear plastic capsule and presented in the original blue Royal Mint case with a matching Certificate of Authenticity.
