Description
A commemorative numismatic set issued in 2001 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1951 Festival of Britain. The collection includes a 1951 cupro-nickel crown and a sterling silver ingot. The crown is a Five Shilling piece featuring the Humphrey Paget portrait of King George VI on the obverse and the Benedetto Pistrucci St. George and the Dragon design on the reverse, dated 1951. The rectangular silver ingot is struck in .925 sterling silver, replicating the 1951 10-shilling postage stamp designed by Percy Metcalfe, which depicts the George VI portrait and St. George and the Dragon motif. The items are presented in a black velvet-lined box with a pictorial outer sleeve featuring the Abram Games festival symbol, accompanied by a technical specification sheet and illustrated folder.

Condition report:
The items are in excellent condition. The cupro-nickel crown retains a proof finish. The silver ingot exhibits a proof-like finish with light natural toning visible around the edges. The presentation packaging and documentation are intact and well-preserved.
