Description
A contemporary pendant necklace featuring a square cushion-cut specimen of Blue John, a variety of Derbyshire spar. The stone is bezel-set in a 925 silver mount and displays a diagonal division between a translucent creamy-yellow matrix with fine purple veining and a dense, deep purple-black section. The pendant is suspended from a plain tapered bail on a matching 925 silver spiga link chain. A small rectangular hallmark or maker’s stamp is visible on the side of the bail but the characters are not clearly legible.
Pendant size: Approximately 18mm x 18mm.
Condition report:
The item is in overall good condition. The polished surface of the stone shows no significant chips or fractures. There is minor surface wear and light tarnishing to the silver consistent with occasional use.
