Description
A pair of contemporary rectangular ceramic tiles, attributed to Darthome, decorated with hand-painted nautical motifs. Each tile is produced using a tube-lined or raised-line technique with high-gloss colourful glazes. The first tile depicts three fishing boats beached on a sandy shore; one boat is marked with the characters G R S T E A and another bears the registration marks PR.1110:PR. The second tile portrays a multi-masted sailing vessel at full sail on a choppy blue sea. No maker’s marks or artist signatures are visible on the front surfaces.
Condition report:
Both tiles are in good overall condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs are evident upon visual inspection. The glazes are bright and well-preserved.
