Description
A collection of three wooden model boats of varying designs and construction. The largest model represents the African Queen steam launch, featuring a dark-painted hull with red pinstriping, cream-coloured deck structures, a central smokestack, and a single mast with tan fabric sails. This model is mounted on a wooden plinth with a brass-tone plaque inscribed AFRICAN QUEEN. The second item is a folk-art style wooden boat with a tan-finished body decorated with hand-painted geometric patterns and fish illustrations. It features complex white string rigging decorated with numerous small red and yellow beads. The third item is a small blue and white painted wooden fishing-style boat presented on a white wooden stand. No manufacturer marks or country of origin labels are visible on the items.
Based on the visible ruler, the folk-art boat hull measures approximately 23 cm in length.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition. There is light surface dust across all models and minor staining to the fabric sails of the African Queen. The rigging on the folk-art boat appears intact.
