Description
This collection comprises a variety of 20th-century ephemera and commemorative objects. It includes a John Player and Sons Film Stars cigarette card album from the 1934 series, featuring illustrated portraits and biographies of actresses such as Barbara Stanwyck and Gloria Stuart. Accompanying this is a Daily Mirror Souvenir newspaper dated Thursday, July 30, 1981, commemorating the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. The group also contains a commemorative stainless steel sugar spoon produced in Sheffield for the 1977 Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, which remains in its original cardboard box. Additionally, there is an illustrative print or postcard depicting a red classic car with the registration IRX27 and a motorcycle officer.
