Description
A Royal Doulton Kingsware ceramic jug featuring a brown-glazed body decorated with relief-molded figures in seventeenth-century style dress, depicting a central tavern scene. The exterior includes portions of yellow script text, including the word Memories. The rim is fitted with a hallmarked sterling silver band. The silver mount displays the maker mark SA, the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard head for the London assay office, and the date letter t for 1914. The underside of the jug bears a circular Royal Doulton England backstamp applied to a yellow ground.
Condition report:
The jug is in good overall condition. There is visible tarnishing to the silver mount and typical surface wear consistent with age and use.
