Description
A collection of five framed maritime-themed prints, primarily depicting coastal scenes in North Yorkshire. The collection includes a monochrome offset lithograph of Whitby harbour by John Williamson, featuring a facsimile signature to the lower right and titled to the lower left. Also included are two matching prints by Gilmour, depicting fishing vessels including the Atlanta 182 and harbour scenes. A further frame contains two small landscape prints with the handwritten-style text Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby. The final item is a larger landscape print of 19th-century sailing vessels in a gilt frame. The prints are commercial offset lithographic productions on paper.
Williamson frame: 32cm x 26cm
Gilmour frames: 28cm x 23cm.
Condition report:
The John Williamson print shows some minor scattered foxing to the paper. The frames are in generally good condition with some light surface wear and minor toning to the mounts.
