Description
Glazed fine bone china figurine titled Piggyback Ride, manufactured by Royal Worcester in England. The piece was released in 1999 as part of the Children of the World series in support of UNICEF. The figurine depicts a smiling child with dark hair wearing a white t-shirt and light blue dungarees, carrying a tan-coloured teddy bear on their back. The figure stands on a circular white base alongside three stacked yellow toy blocks. The underside features the Royal Worcester crown mark with the number 51, the UNICEF logo, and printed text identifying the model name, series, and sculptor Naomi Lawson. This example is numbered 271 from a limited edition of 1000.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or crazing. The glaze and painted details are well-preserved. A small paper inventory label is present on the base.
