Lot 32:
Description
A decorative ceramic vase of tapering conical amphora form with a pointed base, presented on a separate metal stand. The vessel is constructed from a light-coloured ceramic featuring a matte white-painted finish accented with gold-toned highlights. The design includes a wide flared neck terminating in a scalloped rim, an incised wavy band around the shoulder, and a band of impressed geometric patterns to the lower section. Two braided brown rope handles are threaded through piercings at the shoulder. The assembly is supported by a black-painted metal tripod stand with scrolled feet. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible; a small adhesive label with the numerals 478 is present near the base.
Overall height: approximately 60 cm.
Condition report:
The item exhibits minor surface wear and scattered paint loss to the white finish and gold-toned accents, consistent with age and decorative use. The metal stand shows some light scuffing and wear to the black finish. The ceramic body appears structurally sound with no visible cracks or major chips.
