Description
An assortment of costume jewellery rings in various styles, materials, and finishes. The collection includes a large cast white metal commemorative shield-style ring featuring a textured face embossed with London 1988 and partial text appearing to read South Con Ethna. A wide polished silver-toned band with a geometric cutout design bears an interior engraving reading 26-07-24 I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER. The lot features several decorative cocktail rings, including a star-shaped design set with blue and green Aurora Borealis faceted crystals in claw settings, and an ornate openwork gallery ring set with a large oval blue cabochon. Novelty designs include an adjustable frog motif ring with red stone eyes and a feline character ring with red accents. Further items include a gold-toned signet-style ring, a wire-wrapped ring with a black cabochon, a three-stone adjustable ring with clear faceted stones, and various plain, textured, and patterned bands. The materials consist of assorted base metals with silver-toned and gold-toned plating; stones appear to be glass, crystal, or synthetic. No precious metal hallmarks are visible.
Condition report:
The collection is in mixed condition. Multiple items show visible surface scratches, wear to the plated finishes, and oxidation, most notably on the dark patterned band. The majority of the stones and settings appear to be intact.
