Description
A collection of US coins comprising silver and copper-nickel denominations. The group includes a 1964 Kennedy half dollar struck in 0.900 fine silver at the Denver Mint, featuring a D mint mark on the reverse. Also present is a 1962 Washington quarter in silver from the Denver Mint and a 1940 Mercury dime in silver, also from the Denver Mint. The collection is completed by a 1902 Liberty Head nickel struck in copper-nickel alloy. The silver denominations feature reeded edges, while the nickel has a plain edge. The 1964 Kennedy half dollar represents the only year this design was produced in 90 percent silver for general circulation.
Condition report:
The 1964 Kennedy half dollar is in extremely fine condition with visible lustre. The 1962 Washington quarter is in good condition with heavy circulation wear and dark toning. The 1940 Mercury dime is fine with heavy dark patination on the obverse and some lustre on the reverse. The 1902 Liberty Head nickel is in about good condition with significant wear and flattened design details.
