Description
A pair of York 5000 series professional road distance measuring wheels, also known as trundle wheels. Each unit is constructed with a tubular galvanised metal handle fitted with a black contoured plastic grip. The lower frame is finished in high-visibility yellow and supports a five-spoke black composite wheel with a solid synthetic tread. Each instrument is equipped with a top-mounted, gear-driven mechanical analogue counter that records distance in metres. The units feature integrated folding stands and manual reset buttons for the counters. The counter housings are marked with silver labels reading YORK. One unit displays a white sticker with the number 28043. A yellow warning sticker on one frame reads CONDITION AS CLEANING IS CHARGEABLE. These instruments follow the Trumeter 5000 series pattern.
Condition report:
Both units show signs of use consistent with professional field work, including surface dirt on the treads and minor scuffs to the yellow frames and metal shafts. The mechanical counter reset buttons are present. The units appear to be in functional order, though accuracy has not been tested.
