Description
A 20th-century storage coffee table in the Spanish Revival style. The piece features a dark-stained wooden frame surrounding a central rectangular panel with a prominent reddish wood grain finish, likely a rosewood veneer or laminate. The top is constructed with a longitudinal hinge that opens to reveal a shallow internal storage compartment. The top surface is further detailed with two cast metal decorative strap plates. The table is supported by a base consisting of four scrolled wrought iron legs with a textured finish. No maker’s marks or labels were identified during inspection.
Condition report:
The table is in fair to good used condition. There are visible surface scratches and scuffs across the top. Significant wear and chipping to the finish are present along the edges of the central reddish panel. The wooden frame exhibits general age-related nicks and minor finish loss. The internal compartment shows signs of use and dust. The wrought iron legs show minor surface wear and oxidation consistent with age.
