Description
A matched pair of 9ct yellow gold earrings in a hinged hoop or Creole style. The design features a stylized teardrop form with three overlapping, wavy ribs that taper towards the top. The earrings are constructed with hinged lever-back closures and notched posts. Small indented marks are visible on the curved lever posts of both earrings, but the characters lack sufficient clarity to be transcribed.
Weight: 1.6 grams.
Condition report:
The earrings are in good auctionable condition with minor surface wear and light scratches consistent with use. There is slight darkening of the metal near the hinge mechanisms. The hinged closures are in working order.
