Description
This collection features a boxed pair of glass champagne flutes with gold-coloured inscriptions reading Happy 50th Anniversary and gold-toned horseshoe-shaped motifs to the stems. The flutes are presented in a white satin-lined gift box with an anniversary card. The lot includes several nautical-themed ceramic items, notably a large bowl shaped like a boat hull with a blue-painted rim and transfer-printed figures. Also present are two shaped souvenir ashtrays depicting sailing ships for La Rochelle and Calais, a round decorative plate titled English Ship 1300, and a square-form plate titled H.M.S. VICTORY. LORD NELSON’S FAMOUS FLAGSHIP. The group is completed by a small embossed metal plate featuring a coastal scene inscribed Nordkapp and a model sailing ship housed within a clear glass bottle. No manufacturer marks are visible on the primary surfaces of the items.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition. There is visible wear and chipping to the blue-painted rim of the ceramic boat-shaped bowl. Minor surface abrasions and light wear consistent with age and handling are present across the various items.
