The hilt is fitted with dark brown diagonally-ribbed synthetic grips held by two bolts, and the pommel contains a functioning press-button locking mechanism. The accompanying steel scabbard is stamped with the matching serial number 9147 near the throat. The set is housed in a black leather belt frog of stitched and riveted construction. A handwritten identification tag is attached to the frog.
Blade length: 25 cm
Total length: 40.5 cm.

Condition report:

The blade and scabbard show an authentic aged patina with instances of minor surface oxidation and light pitting consistent with age. The synthetic grips are secure with minor surface abrasions. The leather frog exhibits typical wear including surface cracking and creasing. The locking mechanism is in working order.
