Description
A French Model 1886/15 Lebel bayonet featuring a steel blade with a cruciform profile. The hilt is composed of solid brass with a steel crossguard and muzzle ring. The ricasso bears a faint circular proof mark. The item is paired with a matching tapered steel scabbard. This model was a standard infantry bayonet for the French Army during the First World War.

Overall length: 64 cm.
Condition report:
The blade exhibits surface oxidation and general wear. The brass hilt shows an aged patina and light abrasions. The steel crossguard and the scabbard show heavy surface pitting and dark oxidation throughout.
