Description
A collection of Purnell’s History of the Second World War volumes. These items are large-format hardcover binders designed to house a series of weekly part-work magazines. The binders are constructed with black textured covers featuring bold gold-toned typography on the front. The interior contains numerous magazine issues comprising historical text, maps, and extensive black-and-white and colour photographic illustrations documenting various aspects of the conflict. The magazines are held in place by internal metal binding mechanisms.
Condition report:
The collection is in fair to good condition. There is visible shelf wear to the exterior covers and minor bumping to the corners and spines consistent with age and use as reference material. Internal pages show light signs of handling and age-related toning.
