Description
A mid-20th-century figural table lighter and music box designed as a knight in full plate armour, standing atop a tiered circular black base. The figure holds a shield inscribed BRITISH ZONE GERMANY featuring a map of the region, identifying the piece as a post-WWII occupation-era souvenir. The helmet visor hinges upward to reveal an integrated manual cigarette lighter mechanism. A brass winding key on the underside of the base operates an internal music box. The item is constructed from a patinated, silver-toned metal.
Condition report:
The item shows age-appropriate wear, including surface oxidation, minor pitting, and residue within the lighter well. The lighter and music box mechanisms are untested.
