Description
A collection comprising hand-carved wooden figurines, an etched metal letterpress printing plate, and a cast iron trivet. The wooden figurines are executed in a faceted carving style, depicting stylised human and troll-like characters. One figure is incised on the underside with the initials and date G. B. 1955. The metal printing plate features an illustrative scene of a dog and human figures with reversed text reading DOG STORIES About Them. The circular cast iron trivet features a central relief depicting a dog’s head.
Condition report:
The items exhibit age-appropriate wear throughout. There is minor surface oxidisation present on the metal components and a dark patina to the cast iron trivet. The collection is in good vintage condition.
