A collection featuring a lithographed tin money box produced by OXO for the 1937 coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The oval-form tin displays profile portraits of the Royal couple within a medallion, the Royal Cypher GR VI surmounted by a crown, and the national floral emblems of the United Kingdom. The base is lithographed with OXO branding and text referring to 6 OXO Cubes. Included in the lot is a group of British bronze and cupro-nickel coins from the mid-20th century, including pennies featuring King George VI. Completing the collection is a 1932 United States Bicentennial first-day cover envelope, postmarked in Washington D.C., featuring a George Washington three-cent stamp and an illustration of Mount Vernon. The envelope is presented in a protective plastic sleeve.
