Description

A German architectural mantel clock by the Hamburg American Clock Company (HAC). The dark-stained wooden case features a curved, peaked pediment decorated with a carved fan motif. The central dial is flanked by two fluted architectural pilasters on block bases, all set upon a stepped plinth and short bracket feet. The circular white dial displays black Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, and red fleur-de-lis motifs between the numerals. It is fitted with ornate blackened metal hands and enclosed within a brass bezel with a beaded edge. The mechanical twin-train movement features two winding apertures and is striking on a coiled wire gong visible at the rear. The dial bears the trademark crossed arrows mark of the Hamburg American Clock Company. A pendulum is present.

Width: 30 cm.

Condition report:

The case shows minor surface wear, small scuffs, and age-related patina consistent with its age. The movement appears complete with pendulum and gong, but the working condition is not guaranteed; professional servicing is recommended. No winding key is visible in the images.
