Lot 348: A Pair of Japanese Hand-Painted Porcelain Tablewares
A pair of Japanese export porcelain tablewares, comprising a double-handled lidded sugar bowl and a matching creamer. Each piece is decorated with hand-painted stylised bird and floral motifs within white cartouches, set against a vibrant green and blue ground. The decoration is further enhanced by raised gilded scrollwork and borders, with fully gilded handles and a finial. The undersides are marked with a red stamp reading MADE IN JAPAN HANDPAINTED.
