This ceramic vase, known as the ‘Violet’ pattern and designed by Sally Tuffin, features an hourglass-like waisted form with a slightly flared rim and foot. Its design evokes an Art Nouveau or Arts & Crafts aesthetic, characterized by a segmented, geometric floral pattern reminiscent of stained glass, executed in dark green/black, cream/pale yellow, purple, and light blue glazes. The base is marked “MOORCROFT,” “MADE IN ENGLAND,” and bears a stylized script signature, possibly “T.J.” or similar, along with a square impressed mark, consistent with Moorcroft production during the Sally Tuffin era.
