A Warco BDS-460 belt and disc sander, comprising a benchtop power tool with a green metal base and a yellow-painted upper assembly. The unit features a side-mounted disc sander and a top-mounted belt sander platen. The front control panel houses a green and red NVR safety switch under a clear flexible dust cover. A large adjustable metal work table with a miter gauge slot is positioned at the disc assembly, and a black plastic dust extraction port is fitted to the side. A printed label on the front panel reads CE WARCO BDS-460 BELT & DISC SANDER, BELT WIDTH: 100MM, BELT LENGTH: 915MM, DISC DIA: 150MM, MOTOR: 240V, 50HZ, 375W, BELT SPEED: 4.6M/S, DISC SPEED: 2850RPM, WWW.WARCO.CO.UK, ITEM N O 7041MW. The label also includes various safety icons, a warning heading, and a WEEE disposal symbol. The metal platen beneath the belt area shows an exposed rectangular surface with circular recesses.
Condition report:
The tool shows signs of heavy workshop use with significant sawdust accumulation throughout the body, motor housing, and switches. The yellow paint on the upper belt assembly is heavily worn, scratched, and missing in several areas, particularly along the edges and top surface. The internal metal platen exhibits significant surface oxidation and rust. The 100mm sanding belt is missing from the drive rollers, although the 150mm abrasive disc remains attached to the side assembly. The metal work table shows surface scratches and oxidation. The power cable is present; however, the mechanical and electrical operational status is untested.
