Lot 223: A Colibri Sterling Silver Engine Turned Pocket Lighter
A pocket lighter of cylindrical lipstick form, constructed from sterling silver with an engine turned barley-corn pattern to the body and cap. The cap is fitted with a rectangular external hinge and secures over a brass-toned internal sleeve. This upper mechanism houses a flint wheel and a fibrous wick. The base of the lighter is finished with a smooth, polished dome. The top rim of the cap is struck with the inscription COLIBRI STERLING SILVER.
