This lot comprises a collection of four United Kingdom silver proof one pound coins, issued by the Royal Mint between 1999 and 2002. Each coin is struck in .925 sterling silver, as evidenced by the accompanying individual certificates of authenticity. The 1999 reverse features a lion rampant within a double tressure flory-counterflory; the 2000 reverse depicts a dragon passant; the 2001 reverse shows a Celtic cross and pimpernel flower; and the 2002 reverse displays three lions passant guardant. Each reverse is struck with the legend ONE POUND. The obverse of each coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D. The coins are presented in individual clear acrylic capsules within a dark blue textured fitted case. The interior lid is lined with white fabric printed with a black Royal Mint crest and the text ROYAL MINT. Each coin is accompanied by a printed card titled CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY which confirms the silver proof specification.

Condition report:

The coins are in uncirculated proof condition, exhibiting mirror-like fields and frosted relief designs. The 2001 Northern Ireland coin shows noticeable natural dark blue and black toning around the peripheries of the reverse (photo 2 and 6). The other coins remain bright with high luster. All coins are housed in protective acrylic capsules and the presentation case and four individual certificates remain in good order.
