This lot comprises three relief-molded ceramic beer steins, each of ovoid form with a hinged metal lid. The first stein features a cobalt blue glazed body decorated with a relief scene of two figures in traditional Alpine attire seated on a rustic fence, framed by molded edelweiss flowers. The second stein, finished in a cream glaze with cobalt blue accents, displays a scenic transfer-printed view of a town labelled BOPPARD A. RHEIN, positioned above a heraldic eagle coat of arms. The third stein depicts two figures in traditional hunting dress, one with a pipe, accompanied by the relief-molded legend WAIDMANNSHEIL and edelweiss borders against a dark blue ground. Each vessel is fitted with a domed metal lid featuring a decorative thumb-lift and ornate casting. The base of the central stein bears the impressed text MADE IN GERMANY along with a stamped number 28 and a circular mark consisting of characters arranged in an arc, although the individual letters within this mark are not clearly legible.

Condition report:

The ceramic bodies show no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. The transfer-printed and hand-painted decorations remain bright without significant fading. The unglazed foot rings exhibit minor darkening and shelf wear. The metal lids and hinges are fully functional, though they display a natural patina and oxidation (photo 1). The lid of the leftmost stein is shown in an open position (photo 1), confirming the hinge mechanism is intact.
