This lot comprises a collection of one hundred US currency notes, each designated as a Florida 1/4 Goldback. These polymer-based negotiable instruments feature a highly detailed textured gold-tone background. The obverse of each note is printed with a classical female figure holding a trident, alongside a cornucopia and palm trees. The legend reads FLORIDA GOLDBACK NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENT, with the denomination 1/4 in a stylised circular cartouche. Each note bears the struck inscription THIS GOLDBACK CONTAINS 1/4000TH TROY OUNCE 24K GOLD. The notes are secured by a black paper band featuring a gold-embossed logo consisting of the characters GB and the trademarked word GOLDBACK. The notes are dated 2026 and appear to be from the Alpha series.
Condition report:
The notes appear to be in uncirculated condition with sharp, crisp edges and corners. There are no visible signs of folding, creasing, or handling to the exposed portions of the stack. The black paper band is intact and free from tears or significant scuffing. The collection is housed in its original promotional paper band.
