This lot comprises a United Kingdom proof coin collection, housed in a blue faux-leather presentation case with a white card insert and a clear acrylic protective sleeve. The set includes a collection of denominations featuring the 1992-1993 dual-dated 50 pence coin, which depicts a conference table with twelve chairs and twelve stars, commemorating the UK Presidency of the Council of European Communities. Other reverses include the standard Britannia 50 pence, a crowned thistle 5 pence, two 10 pence coins featuring a lion passant guardant, a Prince of Wales’s feathers 2 pence, a portcullis 1 penny, and a flax plant 1 pound coin. A rectangular commemorative plaque is included, inscribed ELIZABETH R 1992 below a crown. The obverse of each coin features the Raphael Maklouf portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D. The white card insert is printed with 1992 UNITED KINGDOM PROOF COIN COLLECTION and the ROYAL MINT logo. The front of the case bears the Royal Arms and the text ROYAL MINT in silver-coloured print. No fineness marks are visible on the coins.
Condition report:
The coins appear to be in as-issued proof condition, displaying mirrored fields and frosted devices. No visible toning, tarnish, or milk spots are present on the surfaces. The protective acrylic sleeve shows light handling marks but remains clear. The blue faux-leather case and white card insert are in excellent condition. The set is complete in its original Royal Mint packaging.
